AUSD Improves API to 929 and Enters NCLB Program Improvement
TDAP for 6th Graders
Attention Parents:  6th graders need proof of the Tdap vaccination before they register for 7th grade.  Students must be vaccinated on or after their 10th birthday for it to be accepted.   Parents are encouraged to submit the documentation during second semester so it can be recorded and filed well before summer vacation.  Taking care of this requirement early will streamline the registration process in the summer.  If you have any questions about this requirement you may call the District Nurse at 821-1731 or the Health Office at your school site.

Games
We need 8th grade parents during the afternoons of Tuesday, June 11th and Wednesday,
June 12th to assist with setting up the Game Stations. Please contact Angela Ryan at (626)

Decorations
We will be transforming the MPR into a beautiful, magical “City of Lights” setting for the
“Night in Paris.” We need 8th grade parents during the afternoon of Tuesday, June 11th
(1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) and Wednesday, June 12th (11 am - 3 pm) for set up. Clean-up will
immediately follow the event at 9:30 pm SHARP. The more people there are, the faster it
goes, and dads are especially useful in this area!

Game Prizes
Gift cards make great game prizes. We would love to receive gift cards in the amount of
$5.00 from anywhere you think the graduates may enjoy, including Jamba Juice, In-N-Out
Burger, McDonalds, Baskin-Robbins, Subway, etc. We are happy to pick them up or you may

Food Donations
We are coordinating the food so that it follows the theme. Therefore, we hope you can

Chaperones
We need 6th and 7th grade parents/guardians to serve as Chaperones. Please come and join
the fun! This is a wonderful way to see what your future 8th grader will experience in one
or two years. You will not have to set up or clean up, we just need your help during the
party to keep it safe and fun for the students. Please contact Mary McGinnis at (626)

8th Grade DVD
As a memento, students will receive a DVD documenting their experiences at Foothills
Middle School. Please submit any pictures you may have taken of students over the years.
Although we are looking primarily for pictures of Foothills activities, elementary photos
are also fun to include. Whether you have pictures from Band and Orchestra events, drill
team events, sporting events, drama productions, East Coast Trip, or pictures of a small
group of friends relaxing, your student would surely love to see themselves included in the
DVD slide show. We encourage all families and students to submit their photos
electronically by email or on a CD (look for 8th grade DVD box in the office, CD will not be

Support FMS by Purchasing SCRIP
Supporting Foothills couldn't be easier when you buy 
scrip cards! Right now through April, if you sign up for the Ralph's Community Contribution Program, you could win $25 worth of SCRIP.  Submit the bottom of a Ralph’s receipt indicating that Ralphs will donate to “AEF-Foothills Middle School”, along with your name, email and telephone number written clearly on the receipt by April 30. Detailed instructions can be found on the flyer in the office.
 
 We have many different scrip cards for all your regular purchasing needs, whether it be groceries, home shopping, clothing, gas, dining, or gift-buying.  It costs you nothing extra and Foothills benefits by receiving a percentage of the sales donated by the vendors.  All donations made through the scrip program go directly to Foothills!
 
Do you shop at Amazon? Then be sure to go to arcadiaedfoundation.org and click on the Amazon.com link. This will take you directly to the Amazon website.  When you make Amazon purchases this way, Amazon donates a percentage of sales to AEF.  It's such an easy way to help raise much needed funds for our schools!

It's as Easy as 1-2-3 To Earn A Share of $12,000 for Our School!
- Shop at any Westfield Santa Anita retailer between November 1, 2012 and April 30, 2013
- Bring your original receipts to the Westfield Santa Anita Concierge located on the first level near Nordstrom.  The Concierge Center is open Tuesday-Thursday 12 pm - 7 pm, Friday 11 am to 8 pm, Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, Sunday 11 am to 6 pm.  Receipts are logged and returned immediately.
- Schools will earn five points for each dollar spent.  Each participating school wins a share of $12,000, based on their school's percent of the total points earned by all schools.  Each month, the school with the most dollars logged will win a $250 bonus prize per school.

 

Collecting Receipts

 

1.         Bring your original receipts to your child’s teacher or the school office in an envelope or Zip Lock bag.

2.         Please include your child's name and his/her teacher's name if you would like to have the receipts back. Please allow one week turnaround time.

3.         You may also log in your own receipts at the mall concierge located on the first floor outside Nordstrom.

 

Email Sign Up – Earn 1,000 Extra Points for EACH Email Sign Up

 

1.       Visit www.shoppingpartnership.com and select Westfield Santa Anita under the “shopping centers” dropdown menu.

2.       Click on the blue box where it says “CLICK HERE to earn 1,000 points….”

3.       Fill out the information and hit “Subscribe to list.”

4.       A confirmation will be sent to your registered email address. Confirm your subscription through the email to earn the points.

5.       You DON'T need to sign up again if you have already done so last year.

1.         Beginning November 1, visit facebook.com/WestfieldSantaAnita, click the “Like” button, then visit Earning F4 Learning and “Enter Now”

2.         Complete the form including your school name and click "subscribe" to complete the process and earn your points.
