STAR Testing
Foothills Middle School will be completing annual STAR Testing, May 8 through May 15.

Walk-A-Thon:  Foothills Middle School 
Walk for Arcadia Schools
On May 18, Foothills students will participate in a Walk-A-Thon to support the Arcadia Education Foundation.  The Arcadia Education Foundation (AEF) exists to raise funds for the school district.  Donations to AEF are gifted to the school district, which then uses the funds where they are most needed. Students will be given information and pledge envelopes in advance, and will walk with their teachers during the school day on May 18.  Thank you, in advance, for supporting our schools by pledging a donation to your student in the Walk-A-Thon.

Parents:  We are gratefully accepting donations of cases of bottled water for students to remain hydrated during the Walk-A-Thon.  If you are able to make a donation of bottled water for use on May 18, please bring it to the office, or send it to the office with your student.  Thanks very much!      

New Parent/5th Grade Parent Meeting
On May 17 at 6:30 p.m.  Foothills Middle School will host a meeting for parents of current 5th grade students and parents of any new students who will attend Foothills for the 2012-2013 school year.  Sixth grade teachers, as well as the school counselor and administrators will be available to provide information about Foothills' instructional program, activities, clubs, and opportunities for students and parents to get involved.  Please plan to attend this important evening.

Attention 8th Grade Parents:  Baby Pictures Needed!
One of the favorite activities at the 8th Grade Promotion Party is to guess "Who's who" using baby pictures of students.  Please submit a 4" x 6" baby photo of your 8th grade student.  Photos should be placed in an envelope marked "Baby picture for Promo Party" and brought to the school office by May 18.  Please write the student's name clearly on the back of the picture.  Please note that we are unable to return photos, so a copy should be submitted.  If you have questions, please contact Debbie Jenkins (626) 447-0217.
